TERMS & CONDITIONS

Please read the following Terms and Conditions carefully before booking. 

By proceeding with your booking, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these terms. If you do not agree with any
part of these terms, please do not complete your booking.

PRIVACY & GDPR NOTICE
We do not store any personal data from form entries or credit card transactions. All payment information is processed securely through third-party payment gateways. Your personal data is retained solely for membership and
operational purposes and will never be shared or sold to third parties.

SAUNA RULES
For your safety and comfort, please adhere to the following rules during every sauna session:
- Always follow health and safety guidelines.
- The sauna is for individuals aged 18 and over.
- Do not apply creams or lotions before entering the sauna.
- Bring a clean towel to sit on to maintain hygiene and protect the benches.
- Avoid eating, drinking alcohol, or using drugs before using the sauna to prevent nausea, dizziness, or unconsciousness.
- Stay hydrated by drinking plenty of water before and after your session.
- Do not remain in the sauna for more than 15–20 minutes at a time. A 10-minute break (or a plunge) is recommended before re-entering.
- Exit immediately if you feel dizzy, nauseous, or unwell, and inform a staff member.
- Do not use the sauna if you have any open wounds.
- Pregnant individuals should consult their doctor before using the sauna.
- Remove all jewellery and ensure swimwear has no metal components, which can overheat and cause burns.
- Do not hang clothing or towels to dry inside the sauna due to fire risk.

ASSUMPTION OF RISK AND LIABILITY

By booking and using the sauna facilities at La Rive Sauna, Castlecomer, Co. Kilkenny, you agree to the terms outlined in this Assumption of Risk and Liability Waiver (the "Waiver"). This Waiver applies throughout the duration of your use as per your booking with La Rive Sauna (the "Owner).
“Owner Related Parties” includes the Owner’s staff, subcontractors, agents, representatives, volunteers, sponsors, insurers, and equipment suppliers.
The Waiver covers the designated 45-minute sauna session and any associated facilities (e.g., steps, showers, or ice baths) within the immediate sauna area. It does not cover areas outside this vicinity.

RISK ACKNOWLEDGMENT
I understand and acknowledge that my use of the Sauna involves risks including, but not limited to the risk of
property damage, bodily injury and possibly death.
I am electing to use the Sauna of my own free will and confirm that my decision to use the Sauna and to execute this Waiver is entirely voluntary. I assume full responsibility for all risks that may arise out of or result from, directly or indirectly, my use of the Sauna.

ACKNOWLEDGMENT OF SAUNA RULES
You confirm and agree that:
- The sauna is not supervised internally by the Owner or any related parties.
- You have read and will follow all sauna rules, understanding that safety depends on full compliance.
- You have no medical conditions that would prevent you from using the sauna safely.
- You possess the necessary skills, physical ability, and knowledge to use the sauna correctly. If unsure, you agree to seek guidance from a doctor or qualified individual.
- The Owner reserves the right to revoke access if these rules or terms are violated.

DAMAGES
You agree to compensate the Owner or any Owner Related Parties for any damages you cause, where intentional.

INSURANCE 
You are responsible for any medical, health, or injury-related expenses incurred during sauna use. If in doubt, consult your doctor and undergo a medical check-up before using the sauna.

WAIVER AND INDEMNITY 
Except in cases of negligence, you (and your spouse, heirs, executors, administrators, or assigns) agree to release and hold harmless the Owner and all related parties from any claims, liabilities, losses, or expenses, including those resulting from:

- Property damage or loss
- Personal injury or illness
- Death
This applies whether such issues arise directly or indirectly from sauna use. You also waive protections that might apply to future or unknown claims under applicable law.

CANCELLATION POLICY 
All bookings are non-refundable. However, in cases of genuine inability to attend, we may offer credit toward a future booking at our discretion
